Dr. Dusek has demonstrated a record of successful and productive projects of high relevance for the field of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) or also known as integrative medicine (IM). Specifically, while working with Dr. Herbert Benson at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (1998-2006) and then Massachusetts General Hospital (2006-2007), Dr. Dusek became an expert in the scientific study of mind/body medicine. Allina Health offers a variety of programs and resources to support employees in reaching their optimal well-being and safety. A research study on building resiliency skills is now available to Mercy and Buffalo hospital employees, hosted by the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing. The purpose of this research is to investigate building skills to increase resiliency based on mind/body meditation practices including breath awareness, chair yoga, guided imagery, mindfulness meditation, and open awareness.
