Being the parent of an adolescent can be both a sometimes frustrating, and sometimes joyous task. In this webinar, we explore a few approaches to help parents navigate the journey of turning their teens into adults.
THIS CLASS IS BEING HELD AT THE ALLINA COMMONS IN THE GLOBAL MARKET CONFERENCE ROOM. The Penny George Institute for Health and Healing has created a two day Tobacco Intervention Conference to help clinical staff members develop effective tobacco cessation tools and strategies for assisting patients in their tobacco cessation efforts. Participants will learn how to change the "Do you smoke? You should just quit" mindset by learning coaching techniques to facilitate more open and useful conversations, application of integrative therapies, insights into nicotine addiction behaviors, pharmacology and its applications. In addition, they will learn how to help patients develop strategies for tobacco cessation, and how to advance conversations as patients develop readiness to quit. To register or for more information: Contact Karina DiLuzio at karina.diluzio@allina.com or 612-863-5244. She will provide you with a registration link. Registration deadline is one week prior to the start date.
