What emotion are you feeling right now? We frequently are not fully aware of our emotions and how they are affecting us at any given time. Paying attention to our feelings and the place where our cognition and emotion meet can facilitate increased capacity for empathy, reasoning, stress management, communication, and our ability to navigate a wide variety of social situations and conflicts, including leading to a deeper understanding of what may be bothering us. In this class, we will explore emotional awareness and how it can be a deep source of resiliency and self-awareness, and how it can flow out to support others.
