Joel has been providing spiritual care in various capacities and contexts, including long-term care and pediatric medicine, since 2007. Joel is currently serving as the Manager of Spiritual Care and Pastoral Education for the North Region of Allina Health. He has a Ph.D. in Pastoral Care and Counseling and Master of Divinity with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy . His research focuses on the intersection between spirituality and grief. These experiences have equipped him well as a chaplain. In times of unrest, he seeks to partner with patients and families in order to co-create narratives of strength, hope, and peace.

Rev. Reid Olson, M.Div, is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Divinity School, where he focused his degree on grief, counseling, trauma, psychology, and practical theology. Reid has been with Allina Health for nearly three years, and is currently located as Mercy Hospital - Unity Campus and the Cambridge Medical Center. When he is not on the job, he can most often be found baking bread in the kitchen, painting, doing carpentry, and trying to figure out just what his kitten has gotten into now.

Kate is trained through the Wellcoaches program and is a nationally board certified health and wellness coach and a certified yoga instructor. Kate has been working in Integrative Health since 1998 when she worked at the Mind/Body Medical Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. Kate also completed programs for holistic cancer coaching and yoga and cancer. As part of respective research studies funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health, Kate trained hypertensive research subjects in the areas of Mindfulness and the Relaxation Response. Kate has a background in education and yoga, which she has found especially useful in dispersing health and wellness information. Kate brings to her clients a non-judgmental and authentic listening style and a belief that all have the ability to reach their wellness goals. Her specialties include personal growth, finding balance, healthy eating, and stress reduction.

I am a board-certified physician specializing in infectious disease and medical director of infectious control. Why I became a physician: Being an infectious disease doctor is like being a detective. It is a challenge to figure out and solve people's infections. Julie has worked at the Penny George Institute since 2010 and is excited to be in charge of the aromatherapy program throughout Allina Health. She received her aromatherapy certification from the Aromahead Institute in 2011 and has studied aromatherapy with some of the leading aromatherapists throughout the world. Julie has presented aromatherapy research at several international conferences and was honored to attend the Second International Integrative Nursing Symposium in Tucson in April 2017, where she highlighted improved Allina Health patient outcomes for pain, nausea and anxiety using essential oils. As a Board Certified Holistic Nurse, Julie also travels and teaches holistic nursing philosophy and integrative therapies including guided imagery, massage and relaxation breathing techniques.

Michelle is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach who holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a minor in coaching. Her work experience includes corporate wellness programming, community and clinical coaching, instruction of group fitness classes, personal training and public health work. Michelle enjoys partnering with individuals to help them discover what lifestyle behavioral changes they can adapt or maintain to be their best self. Her specialties include lifestyle and well-being, physical activity, and weight management.

Barbara has been providing health and wellness coaching at the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing since 2007. She is a certified health and wellness coach and has a master's degree in counseling and psychotherapy. Her expertise is helping clients realize their own strengths, abilities and resources which they use to make lifestyle changes. She uses these skills with patients preparing for surgery and clients interested in developing their own personal vision for optimal wellness. Her work touches on a wide variety of life challenges including stress management, life balance, weight loss, fitness and healthy eating.
