Mental wellbeing includes our emotional, psychological as well as our social wellbeing and it helps determine how we relate to others and manage our stress. Many factors contribute to our mental wellbeing such as family history, biological factors and life experiences such as trauma. This webinar will cover a broad overview of mental wellbeing issues and will include ideas about how to build a strong support system and what resources are available.
Audience: Employees that interface with patients, families, and other staff. Content: Personal Growth Self-awareness is key to effectively working with others. Self-awareness also opens up space within as it reduces stress and anxiety. The space helps us to be more creative, imaginative, and feel more alive. The Enneagram is a centuries old tool that helps us understand our personality type, helps us understand why and when we are stressed, and gives us clues in how to learn and grow.
Audience: All Employees Content: Spiritual Care What if we lived with the end in mind? As Chaplains, we often encourage family members to offer their dying loved one three gifts - saying thank you, I love you, and offering words of forgiveness or asking for forgiveness if the timing is right. During this seminar we will explore these gifts further and discuss how they can be woven into our daily life to improve relationships and to help us live each day intentionally.

Spiritual pain however can be and often is a symptom of physical and psychological pain. Feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, shame, and depression are common to those suffering from real or perceived loss. This can occur when a person's beliefs/worldview are in conflict with what they are going through. Research suggests people with a more realistic worldview/belief system who take into account both beauty and suffering may lead lives that are more meaningful and peaceful. This course will survey research and practices that can help you navigate beliefs and ideas that may be preventing you from experiencing the richness of the spiritual self and life as a whole.
