Make these delicious black bean burgers with spicy mayo, sprouts and cucumber. Your whole family will love them, even the meat eaters! This is a great recipe to have on hand when you are looking for a tasty burger that is plant based.

Black Bean Burgers
Serves 4
1 can black beans rinsed and drained
Ā½ Red pepper diced
2 minced green onions
1 tbsp cumin
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cayenne
1 egg beaten or chia egg sub(1 Tbsp chia seeds to 2 Ā½ Tbsp water)
1 Cup breadcrumbs of choice
1 garlic clove minced
1 Tbsp Sriracha
Garnish Optional
Avocado
Fresh alfalfa Sprouts
Sriracha Mayo
1 Tbsp lemon juice
3 Tbsp Sriracha
1 cup Mayo
Salt
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and lightly oil a baking sheet if using oven.
Food process drained canned black beans, seasoning and garlic clove until thick and pasty. Add to a bowl.
Chop bell pepper, and onion. Then stir into mashed beans.
Add in beaten egg. Omit if vegan.
Mix in bread crumbs until the mixture is sticky and holds together. Divide mixture into four patties.
If baking, place patties on baking sheet, and bake about 10 minutes on each side. Or cook them on a skillet by heating skillet, coating with pan spray. Cook on each side for 3 minutes.
Garnish with sriracha mayo, avocado and Fresh Sprouts.
