Audience: Front line caregivers Content: Personal Growth One of my surprise learnings early in ministry was that the # 1 reason why missionaries quit is that they can't get along w/ other missionaries. Say what? Throughout my career I've observed that how we manage conflict is one of the greatest factors in determining our job satisfaction. The purpose then of this session is to learn some new perspectives on conflict: why it exists, how to stay grounded and curious when experiencing conflict, and how to find positive outcomes.

Audience: All caregivers Content: Personal Growth Spirituality and religion can offer protective factors that help individuals resiliently bounce back from life's difficulties. Spiritual pain however can be and often is a symptom of physical and psychological pain. Feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, shame, and depression are common to those suffering from real or perceived loss. This can occur when a person's beliefs/worldview are in conflict with what they are going through. Research suggests people with a more realistic worldview/belief system who take into account both beauty and suffering may lead lives that are more meaningful and peaceful. This course will survey research and practices that can help you navigate beliefs and ideas that may be preventing you from experiencing the richness of the spiritual self and life as a whole.
Exercise ball and resistance band strength training- Learn a full body routine that can be done using an exercise ball and resistance bands.

THIS CLASS IS BEING OFFERED ONLINE ONLY. ***Allina Participants must attend 5 of 6 classes LIVE to earn points and avoid being changed for the full class.*** Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of significant sources of stress - such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems or workplace and financial stressors. It means "bouncing back" from difficult experiences. Resilience is not a trait that people either have or do not have-we all have aspects of resilience. The behaviors, thoughts and actions that build resilience can be learned and developed in anyone. In this 6-week series, we'll practice the skills proven to help build resilience of mind, body and spirit. Skills such as mindfulness, optimal nutrition, movement and cultivating a healthy relationship w/ self and others will be taught and practiced in class. By practicing these skills regularly, you can strengthen your ability to bounce back from adversity and to grow and thrive in your professional and personal life. Points are awarded within 4 weeks of completion. In order for us to provide the best possible service to all our clients, it is very important that you commit to the class for which you have registered. All participants must give a minimum 7-day notice prior to the first class session to withdraw from the program. This allows us the opportunity to offer your seat to another participant. No refunds will be given if you cancel your registration less than 7 days before the first class session, and you will not be allowed to transfer your registration fee to a future class. Once your group session has begun, you may not switch to another group. Due to confidentiality concerns, you will not be able to attend another group's sessions for makeup dates.

This six-week series offers highly effective tools to help you manage stress and achieve a higher state of well-being. Learn to stabilize your mind and increase your resilience through mindfulness practices such as meditation and yoga. Mindfulness Training is inspired by Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, which was based on a model in Jon Kabat-Zinn's book, Full Catastrophe Living. Points are awarded within 4 weeks of completion.
