When those wounds find adequate healing, they transform from being constraints to our compassion toward others and vocational vitality, to deep gifts for connection and shared humanity. We can become "wounded healers." The path to healing our wounds begins with growing in self-compassion. This class utilizes the Internal Family Systems model as a tool for this growth.
This eight-week course of Tai Chi teaches smooth, soft and gentle movements that are meditation in motion. Tai Chi is a gentle form of mind-body movement that promotes relaxation, balance, strength, postural alignment, natural breathing and pain reduction. Movements are done in a standing position and can be modified for being seated. Classes also include mild warm ups with breathing and posture exercises.
Take Action Program for Weight Management is a highly successful 12-week program for people who want to lose weight and keep it off. The program combines a personalized fitness profile with a body composition measurement, personal exercise training session, nutrition consultation with a resting metabolism measurement and an integrative health and wellness coaching session. Twelve weekly group sessions cover topics including nutrition, fitness and overall wellness. A comprehensive Take Action manual is provided for ongoing reference. Prerequisites: There are 4 intake appointments to complete before class begins. These are 1:1 sessions and are included in the package price. 1. Fitness Profile (90 min) 2. Personal Training (60 min) 3. Nutrition consultation with metabolism test (75 min) 4.
